Barry M's Take On A Flawless Finish

We all aspire to have a flawless complexion. Matte, dewy, semi-matte whatever your preference is, there are multiple primers and foundations on the market to suit your needs. However, if you're looking for that perfect matte base for only £11.98 your needs have been answered.
Barry M have created a new flawless range, including colour correcting primers and foundations, which I was intrigued to try out. Both of these products are oil-free which is perfect for those of you with oily and combination skins, however, if you're someone with dry skin then I'd stay away as these will no doubt dry out your skin.

Flawless Colour Correcting Primer-£5.99
This primer claims to minimise pores alongside smoothing and mattifying the skin. As well as this, it is green in colour and this is how the colour correcting factor works. If you're unsure on colour correcting view my guide. The green counteracts any redness which may be on your skin; when I applied this onto my cheeks, forehead and chin I noticed that a dabbing action was required to see the best results. If you're looking to correct the high pigmentation of your spots then this won't do the job.

The consistency is quite watery due to it being oil-free but at the same time, it does feel very smooth and soft when applied onto the face. It creates an even base for the foundation to go on top of whilst colour correcting any redness. When applied underneath the flawless matte foundation my foundation stays on all day, it does show signs of wear around spots but elsewhere is flawless.

Flawless Matte Finish Foundation-£5.99
Following the application of the flawless primer, I applied the matching flawless foundation in a stippling motion. My first thoughts as I buffed it onto my skin was that I noticed it was semi-matter although, as it began to dry it went fully matte which I was delighted to see. On my face it felt very lightweight as well as not looking like I've used any make-up, it's a your skin but better foundation.

The foundation provides a light-medium coverage with build-ability to add extra even layers of coverage. When it came to covering spots I found that it didn't cover the larger, redder ones which I had on my skin so you will need to re-apply to get the additional coverage for them but small ones were perfectly covered and invisible. Not only was this foundation a great colour match but it made my skin look smooth and flawless.

These two products paired together did a tremendous job at making my skin look flawless; they have become my go to every day products! For £5.99 each you cannot complain, they're amazing I would definitely recommend you picking these up when you are next in Boots or Superdrug. Have you tried these products before?
