The thought of paying £24.50 for a primer was getting me in a pickle as I didn't want to spend that much. Even though it is the best primer which I have ever used, the thought of a day's wages being spent on one single product was a tad soul destroying for me. So, I decided to get Benefit's How to Look the Best at Everything kit for a pound more.
When the kit arrived I was amazed at how realistic the packaging was, as it's meant to be in the form of a book, it's very Benefit-esque. Not only do you get four products and a brush in this kit but it also comes with a guide as to how you can use each of the products to the best of its ability for you. This is handy for those who aren't Benefit educated, new to these products.
The five products included in this set are their famous porefessional primer, hello flawless oxygen wow foundation, boi-ing concealer and their hello flawless powder, allowing you to create a flawless base just using this kit. As well as the products you receive a small brush which is guided for you to use in conjunction with the powder, however, I feel it's a brilliant contour/bronzing brush. It reminds me of the NARS ita brush!
Porefessional Pro Balm Primer-£24.00
This primer is the culprit as to why I bought this kit. It's ideal for those of you with oily, acne prone and combination skin as the balm helps to minimise the size of your pores. I also find that this primer controls my oil production on my skin, especially in my t-zone, meaning my foundation stays on longer throughout the day. It's my favourite primer!
Hello Flawless Wow Oxygen Foundation-£26.50
I'm not one for light coverage foundations as I love something that can give me a full coverage yet still make me look natural. This foundation would suit those of you with dry to normal skin as it is quite a light coverage although it gives a beautiful, natural, skin-like glow which makes it feel so lightweight. However, the shade ivory doesn't suit my skin and I normally use pale porcelain foundations, this one is far too orange for me.
Boi-Ing Industrial Strength Concealer-£17.50
When it comes to full coverage concealers this one ticks the box. Its unique strength to cover imperfections, scars, spots and papules is amazing, which is how it gets its name! I was surprised when I first tried this concealer as the consistency is quite thick but it blends like a dream and doesn't cake on my imperfections, unlike other thick concealers. This concealer has to be one of my holy grails alongside my Collection lasting perfection, except for the price difference, however, I will repurchase this when I run out.
Hello Flawless Powder-£25.50
For how expensive this powder is I was hoping for it to transform my complexion. Although, just like a normal powder it mattified my face and reduced the amount of shine as well as adding that extra bit of coverage to help make my skin look flawless.
