When we think of Christmas the first colour which comes to mind is the almighty bold red as this is what the majority of Santa's outfit is made up of. Therefore, I'm going to be showing you the red lipsticks which would put Santa to shame this Christmas!
Freedom Pro Butters Lip Lacquer in Jammy Dodger-Post £3.00
If you are someone who doesn't like lip glosses but likes a light, glossy finish then this is something you need to try! What I love most about this lip lacquer is the beautiful colour, it's a lovely red which would work perfectly on top of the Freedom lipstick which I'm also mentioning in this post. Due to its gloss-like texture, it can feel sticky on the lips if you apply too many layers, however, a light-handed coating will leave you with shiny, red lips which will last for an hour or two.
Make-Up Revolution Lip Product
I got this lip product as part of a lip cream set last Christmas and I'm sure they have similar ones this year which are available too. As Freedom is the sister brand to MUR these two products are very similar in their formula, longevity and pigmentation and even packaging. This lip cream is a deep blood kind of red which I love to wear as I'm not always wanting a bold red lip.
Freedom Pro Lipstick in Red Wine £1.00
If you are looking for an inexpensive lipstick which isn't going to let you down this Christmas then this is the one you need to pick up when you are browsing the make-up aisles! This lipstick is very comparable to the Kiko one in the sense that it's colour match is nearly identical, it applies smoothly, keeps your lips hydrated, the only difference is how long it lasts throughout the day. At £1 a lipstick you cannot complain after three hours of it wearing off. This is a must have for those of you who love a bargain!
Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Vixen-Post £4.99
When it comes to appropriate names, Sleek have hit the nail on the head with this one with their vixen name selection. Out of the variety, I have chosen this one is the brightest due to its slight bright, fluorescent sheen which you can notice when applied onto the lips. The consistency of this lipstick is wonderful as it is so creamy and hydrating on the lips meaning it lasts for up to three hours before needing to be touched up.
Kiko Intensely Lavish Lipstick in 03-Post £6.90
I've mentioned this lipstick before, in my remarkable red duo post, and I'm unsure as to whether this lipstick is still available as it was part of a collection. Regardless of this, I could not mention it as it's one of my go tos when I want a bold red lip which is going to last all day. Although this lipstick isn't bright it certainly isn't dark either which I admire about it, alongside its silky smooth formula and pigmentation. Also, the packaging for this lipstick is beautiful, considering it is drugstore I'm amazed!
Lush Santa Baby Lip Tint-£5.95
This lip tint is around a year old which is why it is so drying on the lips, however, in a new state it is hydrating due to the shea butter which is within the product. Personally, I feel this tint smells of coca cola mixed which I love. As well as this the pigmentation is incredible considering it is only a lip tint, it is great for on the go or when you need to top up a lipstick you aren't carrying with you.
I love a bold red lip as I think they suit all skin tones! Which reds are you going to be wearing this Christmas? Thanks for reading.
