The High End Edit

It's only since the start of this year that I've really been getting into high-end makeup. I used to be a true drugstore girl, my heart was always set on the cheap and cheerful but since I've had a taste of the luxury I won't be going back.
The High End Edit
High-end makeup for me was always classed as the luxury, the best of the best kind of stuff which only rich people could afford and that was not me. I was one of those lingerers who used to stand at a beauty counter for hours, hold a couple of products in my hand pretending like I was going to buy them then put them all down again and slowly walk off in shame. Yes, that was me, I hold my hands up.

So since the start of the year, I've begun purchasing a couple of products here and there as my drugstore ones come to an end and I've picked o
ut a few favourites for my base already!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer £23.00

I was 50/50 on this concealer when I first got it but I am really enjoying using it now. It's brilliant for underneath the eyes as it's so lightweight and creamy, as the name suggests. Whereas on top of pustules and imperfections it does a good job of covering them without making them look like a mountain of cake.

Benefit Porefessional Pore Minimising Makeup £26.00

I saw one review of this and went straight out and bought it; I was sold. This stuff is a pore magician. I apply a couple of drops of this on my pores, on my cheeks, then dab it in with my sponge and my pores are minimised, smoothed, faded, somewhat gone and less noticeable. I then go on top with my foundation and it just creates that flawless base for it to go on top of. I'm in love.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder £29.00

I've had this powder the longest out of them all and it's still got tonnes of product left in it. I use this powder to set my under eyes, nose and chin, I find packing it on with a sponge works best. This powder isn't like any other powder I've tried, it makes my skin look flawless and by the end of the evening, the areas where I have applied this powder on, my makeup is still there in place. It's incredible!

Now don't get me wrong, I will forever repurchase my Rimmel stay matte powder, (I will probably never purchase a high-end pressed powder in my life), alongside my trusty NYX retractable lip liner in nude however it is satisfying knowing that you've got a few high-end staples in your collection. What do you think about high-end makeup, do you prefer it over drugstore? What are some of your high-end favourites? Thanks for reading.
