Disappointing Beauty Products #1

It's not very often that I find a product that I'm majorly disappointed by, more often than not I either love something or I'm pretty content with using a product, however, there are some that I just cannot wrap my head around.
Disappointing Beauty Products Featuring Tom Ford and The Body Shop
I have found a few makeup items, drugstore and high end, as well as body, skin and hair care products that have disappointed me for one reason or another.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlights in Ever Glow Lights £3.00

I don't think I've ever found a highlighter that I've been overly fussed on, however, if you're claiming to be a highlighter and have a thousand specs of glitter in then it's a no from me. I like a highlight to look natural and have that within glow feel about it, not looking chunky with specs of glitter everywhere on my face. It looks really beautiful when swatched, not patchy at all but when it's on the face it's a whole different situation.

Tom Ford Concealing Pen in Light £42.00

For one, how can a concealer cost this much money and two even though it is ridiculously expensive it does nothing for me. This concealer claims to camouflage under-eye circles, uneven skin tone and redness but it can't even do that. Due to the sponge tip applicator, the product gets clogged in the top meaning it festers, grows bacteria and oxidises so when I get around to using it it's far too orange on my pale complexion. Not even to mention the fact that they only have six shades, this is poor from Tom Ford.

Freederm Exfoliating Facial Wash £5.09

I had high expectations for this facial wash as I picked it up for a bargain price, however, since using it regularly I can update that it has had no impact on my skin whatsoever. It claims to gently exfoliate which it doesn't do, whilst eliminating spots and blackheads when let's be honest I still have the same amount before I started even using this facial wash.

The Body Shop Strawberry Softening Gel Lotion (I couldn't find any other scents) £3.00
I normally love everything that The Body Shop comes out with, although their gel lotions are horrific. Don't get me wrong, their body butter and lotions are lovely but this gel formula isn't my favourite, to say the least. When you apply this onto your skin it's so thin that when you are massaging it into your skin it has the same texture and feel as hand sanitizer. It doesn't absorb into the skin very quickly, doesn't hydrate or moisturise and to top it all off it leaves you feeling very sticky.

Batiste 2 in 1 Invisible Dry Shampoo and Conditioner in Vanilla and Passionflower £4.49

I'm pretty sure that this is one big gimmick. How can a dry shampoo help soak up your greasy hair whilst conditioning it at the same? The first time I used it I noticed nothing but more grease and shine on my hair so when it came to the second time using it I assumed I was doing something wrong but no, it happened again making me look worse than before.

So those are the products which have been disappointing me recently. Have you tried any of these or have you found any disappointing products?
 Thanks for reading.
