Is This A Dupe For Benefit's Gimme Brow?

At £20 a go, Benefit's Gimme Brow has always been one of my favourite brow gels but I've always been put off repurchasing it purely because of its extortionate price tag. So after doing a little research, could I have found the latest dupe for it at just £2.50?

The brow product in high demand is Essence's Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel which can be found in Wilkinsons.
'Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara is the perfect 3 in 1 colour, density and shape! The tinted gel contains tiny fibres that fill in any unwanted gaps for beautifully defined and full eyebrows.'
In regards to both brow products, their packaging isn't very similar, to Benefit's being silver and reflective whereas Essence's being brown to match the shade. However, if you draft your mind back to what the old gimme brow used to look like before they rebranded their brow line, it does look somewhat identical to make me brow. Both wands are very small with little bristles which is definitely the start of the dupe.

Browny browns 02 in Essence's make me brow is a very good match for Benefit's 04 and 05 that I used to use. They are both deep, dark brows perfect for anyone with brown to black hair dependant on how you like your brows to look. Essence's shade range isn't all that great, I'm pretty sure there are only three shades, however, Benefit supply five.

The claims that Essence have written about their make me brow are spot on as you definitely get tinted, shaped and fuller brows which is exactly what gimme brow does also. The fibres in Essence's brow gel are a lot smaller in comparison to the gimme brows which is the only downfall with regards to the formula. Nonetheless, the fibres do make your brows look fuller but they just give you a more natural and light feeling look which can be positive in many ways.

Overall thoughts / Is It a Dupe?
I really do rate this brow gel. It's definitely very comparable to Benefit's gimme brow in many ways plus it's a much cheaper option for those of you, who like me, aren't keen on the hefty price tag. In my opinion, the fibres are the only thing that set these two apart. Therefore, if you are wanting a cheaper alternative or want to try this one before you take the plunge then definitely go for it as you won't be disappointed.

What do you think about Essence's make me brow, is it a dupe? Will you be heading to your local Wilkinsons to try it for yourself? Thanks for reading.
