I used to think of cream products as a bit of a chore, an extra step in the routine and most of the time a pain to blend! However, this year I haven't stopped using them; they make a great addition to my makeup routine.
Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick in F1 £5.00
Granted this foundation is a tad too light for me, I should have probably gone a shade up but nonetheless, it's a brilliant foundation. It is medium to full coverage, it doesn't cling to any dry areas and it lasts on the skin for a fairly long time, around six to eight hours. The only issue I have is that if I don't wear a primer underneath then the foundation will accentuate my pores in my cheeks and I find that I need to blot my nose a few times throughout the day but that happens with most foundations.
Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick £24.00
I adore everything about this product, from its bamboo designed packaging to the product itself. It's the creamiest formula I have found in a contour stick meaning it blends really easily without it disappearing into nothing. The colour is identical to their powder hoola, a mid-tone brown that is great for contouring whilst adding some warmth to the area. I apply this just under my cheekbones for definition and I love the look it gives.
L'Oreal Infallible Highlighter Stick in 503 Slay Rose £8.99
On first glance, this can be mistaken for a pale blush but in fact, it's a beautiful highlight. On my complexion, it's a lovely rosy pink sheen which looks best on the tops of cheekbones and at the end of my nose. It blends incredibly well on top of foundation to give a luminous glow to the skin. I sometimes even use this without foundation and it doesn't look unnatural in the slightest, it's a great highlighter.
Now that I think about it, some of my favourite products are those of the cream consistency. What are your thoughts on cream products, do you like them, do you not? Also what cream products are your favourites? Thanks for reading.
